With a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of California and a Master’s in Environmental Economics from Spain, she brings a powerful combination of academic knowledge and practical experience to the table.
As the Director of Up2Impact, Carolina prioritizes Resource Mobilization by developing and executing a strategic plan that is closely aligned with the organization’s mission. She actively cultivates strong relationships with donors and stakeholders while overseeing the creation of high-quality proposals and leading dynamic fundraising initiatives. Carolina establishes robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track progress, guides a dedicated resource mobilization team, and conducts in-depth market analyses to identify emerging funding opportunities. Her advocacy for the organization’s needs is coupled with a commitment to capacity building within her team, all while managing financial resources efficiently. Ultimately, her efforts are aimed at significantly enhancing the consultancy’s impact in driving meaningful and positive change.
Karyn is an accomplished urban and environmental planner with extensive experience across six countries, specializing in political decentralization processes linked to urban planning. Her academic background includes degrees in Architecture and Urbanism from Brazil, Environmental and Regional Planning from Germany, and an MBA in Leadership and Sustainability from the UK.
As the Managing Director of Up2Impact, Karyn’s objective is to strengthen the network, forge strategic partnerships, and secure grants and funding to promote the sustainable development of local NGOs. She is responsible for implementing strategic initiatives, making critical management decisions, and overseeing all team activities to ensure impactful outcomes. Karyn’s leadership is focused on driving sustainable solutions that benefit communities and foster resilience.
Maritza is a skilled and dedicated fundraiser with expertise in the arts and coffee industries. Her commitment to social causes began early in her life, as she distributed meals daily to vulnerable children in her hometown in Ecuador. With a strong academic background from her studies in France, she has collaborated with the Ecuador Mission of Human Rights to the UN and the Ecuadorian Consulate in New York.
As a fashion designer trained in New York, Maritza pioneered knitwear for the MK women’s collection. With over seven years of experience at the intersection of business and the arts in New York, she has built substantial donor networks that support the creative community in Brooklyn.
Currently, Maritza is focused on expanding local and international donor and philanthropic networks to create a lasting impact in her current home, Ethiopia. She actively identifies local nonprofit and community organizations, collects grant data, and analyzes funds for distribution in grant proposals—always employing a holistic approach that respects and understands the culture and religion of the region.

Sandra is a business administrator with a specialization in food and beverage management for hotels and restaurants. From her early days at university, she demonstrated a strong commitment to helping those with limited economic resources, becoming actively involved as a volunteer in various schools across Peru.
Her academic pursuits took her to Europe, where she continued to support social causes alongside fellow master’s students in the gastronomy field. Her foundational experiences at NH Hotels sparked her interest in process systematization within organizations.
Years later, Sandra relocated to Ethiopia, where she and three friends founded Up2Impact in direct response to the urgent need for organizations to effectively manage and secure resources. Currently, she is responsible for designing and analyzing processes within the organization to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Sandra’s leadership ensures that Up2Impact continues to thrive and support its mission.
